Celebrating its 12 years of service, Hyderabad’s Super Speciality Eye Hospital - Neoretina Eyecare Institute inaugurated its new block ‘IRIS’ and launched the Smart Retina Check-up Campaign on 7th April, 2022.


The IRIS block is located in the adjacent complex of the same building.

The new block was inaugurated by Chief Guest, Dr. Prof. G.V.S. Murthy, Director, Indian Institute of Public Health, Hyderabad in the presence of Guests of Honour, Dr. (Prof.) Sree Bhushan Raju, Head of Dept. of Nephrology, NIMS, Hyderabad and Dr. K. D. Modi, Endocrinologist, Care Hospital, Nampally, Hyderabad.

IRIS has a state-of-the-art dilation free retinal imaging center. The IRIS facility is equipped with a high-end ophthalmic diagnostic center, opticals, pharmacy, and a premium private ward for patients.

This is possible due to Optos ultrawide-field retinal photography camera which can acquire high-resolution, detailed 200° image of the retina, without dilation of the pupil of the eye. The procedure is pocket-friendly, non-invasive, requires only 2 minutes and patients can drive back home. Diabetic retinopathy screening and grading is done by qualified retina specialists at the hospital.

Dr. Reddy has been conferred the ASRS Honor Award for his outstanding service to the Society's scientific and educational programs. We congratulate Dr. Reddy for this exemplary achievement and for making Hyderabad and the country proud on a global platform.


7th IOC, Singapore Confers 2 Awards On Neoretina Consultant Dr. Abhilasha

Dr. Abhilasha Baharani, who is a Consultant Uvea Specialist at Hyderabad’s leading eye care institute Neoretina, won 2 awards at the NHG Eye Institute’s 7th International Ophthalmology Congress.

Both the awards were in the senior category. She won the ‘Award of Distinction’ for her research - ‘The Diagnosis and Management of Intraocular Inflammation Caused by Rickettsia - The Indian Perspective’ The 2nd award was the ‘Award of Merit’ which she won for her research - ‘Geomapping of Uveitis - A Novel Approach’ We thank Dr. Abhilasha Baharani for her valuable contribution towards the medical field and adding to the prestige of the Indian healthcare system on a global front.
